Summer
The crops have endured a very wet summer and are now begining to catch up. Crops that are doing particularly well are our Autumn and Winter crops, such as leeks, carrots, swede, purple sprounting and an array of cabbages. Our parsnips are much better than last year due to better variety choice and favourable spring conditions. Our swede has also been covered this year (with a mesh) to prevent damage from cabbage root fly - who make mines in the root.
